The prompt for todays was to write about something that you have no
interest in. If I'm being honest, I've found it difficult to care about
or have any interest in recycling over the past few years. I still do
it, but it is more with a feeling of despair than hope. I tell myself
the indifference to it is because of an awareness about the reality of
the current situation, but it is probably also just laziness and
avoidance.

Look at her there, separating well
The care she takes, the prayers she prays
Washing the containers of food waste
Wheeling the big blue bin to the curb

Look at me now, throwing it all at once
No consideration for what comes next
Given up on it all, happy to contribute
To some great whirlpool in the Pacific
