Went with something different from the prompt today. 

Wrap around the stars my dear
Close the gate behind
Lest our love turn fast to fear

Pray it doesn't last too long
The soft horns reminding
The mice rise in terrible song

The grey notebook and the miller
The punch and judy show
Wrap around the pillar dear
This way is much too slow
