nine syllables in the first line, eight in the second, and so on.

    Suffered dilapidating disease
    Fell in love and she broke your heart
    Leapt from a sycamore tree
    Lay too long in the sun
    Choked on your own fur
    Ate poisoned rice
    While sleeping
    Too slow
    Died
