Softened, mid-sized branch
On river bank

Stretched across a line in the sand
Where water must run through
In times of heavy rain.
A bridge branch.

Was the branch carefully placed
By human hands
Or by recent rains
Pulled along sandy bank
Until stopped and suspended?

It appears to lead nowhere
Indicating it must be water's work
