Colour
Today, we’d like to challenge you to write a poem that repeats or focuses on a single color. Some examples for you – Diane Wakoski’s “Blue Monday,” Walter de la Mare’s “Silver,” and Dorothea Lasky’s “Red Rum.”
Purplish, twilight coloured
Vespertinian
Your Lululemon jacket, purple
Emerging from the Dublin crowd
Underneath blue-purple cloudless skies
With smiling face
In purplish cocoon of meeting you
Lovely late-evening Dublin skies
When I am not quite sure
If the light has left yet or not
And all that is left is purple
half night, half something else
