Myth
Today, we’d like to challenge you to write a poem in which the speaker is identified with, or compared to, a character from myth or legend, as in Claire Scott’s poem “Scheherazade at the Doctor’s Office.”
McCool on the Dart
Stooped low, squashed against your bretheren
A carraige made in East Aisa
For people half your size
If Benandonner could see you now
rocking gently on the rails
He would flee to Scotland
Out of shame
